How Robot Arms can be used for Bin Picking and Shelf Picking

Abstract

Recently, there has been a substantial amount of concern regarding the utilization of robot arms for bin picking and shelf picking. The escalation in the volumes of e-commerce, online grocery, and automated warehousing has brought increased attention to this issue. In this paper, typical bin picking and shelf picking systems are reviewed, their limitations analyzed, and a novel solution inspired by the grasp detection algorithm is presented.
