Abstract

This exploratory study examines the use of Yepa, an AI-based conversational system that transforms students’ narratives into structured learning experience (LX) maps to support vocational guidance and competence recognition. The study investigates how students in transition perceive AI-mediated reflection, how it supports confidence and competence recognition, and how institutional and pedagogical conditions shape its educational value. These findings suggest that the potential of AI-mediated reflective tools in education depends less on technological sophistication than on institutional support, meaningful pedagogical integration, and socially mediated use
