An approach for developing and assessing sustainable business models

Abstract: With sustainability becoming an increasingly important factor in a globalized world, there is an increasing demand for ways to systematically incorporate sustainable activities into companies. Representing the value creation logic of a company, business models play an important role in this development. In this paper we suggest an approach to support organizations in developing and evaluating sustainability aspects in their business model by helping select appropriate measures as well as considering assessment indicators that help evaluate their successful implementation.
